Where is anybody representing Chester Biddy Basketball???
Funny how Superintendent makes list after how many months...or is it weeks?
No Thad Kirkland or Wendell Butler...whats the reasoning?
No economic development people at all? After the growth we have seen....I think somebody needs to make the list
Other than that, the list is pretty good. Congrats on a great idea!! |

LOL Yeah there is an absence of the “economic developers”. I personally wanted to start the list with the people I documented doing their best for Chester youth (with what they had). You know the “community developers”.
the community was asked to vote and nominate persons they believed should be on the list. No one nominated or suggested the Butler or Kirkland so if someone had wanted them there I would have held to my promise and posted them on the ballot.
There's more to the economic development of this city then what meets the eye. I say this because as I'm learning more about Chester's past I'm very concerned about its future and the current political lackeys that suck the city's resources dry are hardly heroes in my book. But then it’s just my opinion. No harm intended.
And like you I wish the city would wake up and have unrehearsed dialogue in this forum. _________________ Does your life shed light or cast shadows?

LOL I had a feelin' that loaded comment would stick. Lackey is such a relative word. If you haven't noticed GhettoPrint doesn't post up much of an opinion column especially about individuals in this city. Mainly because people around here are too entangled in the "game of survival". Teachers, ministers, community leaders are often times compromised. I would like to believe I'm not compromised but even as I write I cower about name droppin' because my interest in youth development relies on peaceful relationships even with people I don't necessarily trust completely.
And the unrehearsed dialogue... hmmm... you should attend a number of community meetings and then you'll understand that loaded phrase a little better. Again I'm finding that leaders are not always who they say they are and are not always about the positive things they claim. Some of the leaders in this city who pretend to be enemies are actually friends. And some people who claim to be spiritual leaders are actually soul snatchers.
But there are positive people who are doing the best with what they have. They have a tendency to work pass the opportunist of the town. They also are Bridge Builders. Most of them were on the list. Not all on the list are Bridge Builders but most.
Then there are those who aren’t malicious they’re just “opportunist” but it gets out of control because they are the first to do whatever it takes to stay in power. And bla bla bla…
Now that I've finished coming across as a paranoid schitzo I'm gonna cease my reply to your post _________________ Does your life shed light or cast shadows?

LOL Punked out... that's cute. As I said before (in other words of course) there's no need to fight a war that isn't there.
I've gone out on a limb before only to be very under appreciated. I figure working with one young person at a time will do until the Lord is kind enough to give me better resources as well as a stronger circle of people. It gets tiresome going the distance alone. Especially, when you start tellin' the truth and everyone is looking at you like you’ve got three or seven heads. LOL It’s great.
And of course no one visits the site, which makes it easier not to care. _________________ Does your life shed light or cast shadows?

Plainly, no one nominated them and the people I choose to nominate were all very youth focused. _________________ Does your life shed light or cast shadows?
